こだわりの100/3番手

日本のへその１つ、綿の先染めで有名な兵庫県西脇市。
その西脇で素晴らしい素材がありましたのでご紹介したいと思います。
It is located navel of Japan, Nishiwaki in Hyogo prefecture is known as producing district of cotton yarn dyed fabric.

こちらの素材は、100番手という非常に細いコットンを３本に撚り、タテ糸が細番手の高密度のため、表と裏で色合いが違って見えるのが特徴。
100番手は、単糸（一本）で使われる場合だとブラウスなどに使われる細さ。
その繊細な糸を３本により合わせて１本の糸として高密度に織り上げる技術は圧巻です。
表面はコットンとは思えない滑らかさと柔らかさがあり、陰影もとても綺麗です。
糸が非常に細いため、その糸が持つ上品な光沢感・しっかりした素材にもかかわらず適度な落ち感と着用した時の跳ねるような軽さ！は何度もリピートしたくなるそんな生地です。
もちろん、撥水加工も施せます。
The feature of this fabric is that the very fine cotton yarn of 100 count is twisted into three and due to the warp yarn has a high density of fine count, the color s look different on the face and back.
