Hello, the corona pandemic has finally settled down, so isn’t there lots of people who might be planning to travel from near places to far places?
This time, I would like to write about a hotel that has concept roos using “Tangochirimen”.
The other day, when I was researching about Tangochirimen, I just made a voice and said,
“it’s so Kyoto.”
That’s because I found that there was a hotel with rooms using “Tangochirimen” fabrics !!
When I contacted the Tango Textile Industry Association, which is involved in the exciting concept room, in front of the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station, it seems that guest rooms using “Tangochirimen” were built for people who comes from overseas, families in Japan, and girls who enjoy traveling.
The elegant texture of traditional and highly formal materials, which are also used for kimono, creates a glossy room space.
It is said that this collaboration was realized in 2020, which was the 300th anniversary of the foundation, as part of the “Project of Creating Sellable Products,” a PR project that promoted the spread of “Tangochirimen” and regional promotion.
It’s a perfect room for girls traveling !!
Those are pretty rooms that make me want to introduce it to my acquaintances.
When I look at the hotel homepage, What!!
Besides the Chirimen room, I also found that there was a concept room with “Kyoto Denim” that
I introduced the other day !!
The atmosphere is different from the pretty room of Tangochirimen, and it has chic and modern atmosphere.
According to Kyoto Denim, it is the best shoji in their history.
It was made over several months by using kimono dyeing technology. Because it synchronizes with the light in the room, it seems to change to different shades with colors in the morning and evening. In particular, the full moon has a high transmittance of light, and it shines when the morning sun or the west sun hits from behind.
You will want to stay there and see the changes !!
If you travel to Kyoto, of course you can enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto, and staying in a concept room where you can experience the good old techniques and materials of Kyoto at your accommodation. It may be a good time to enjoy a different trip to Kyoto.
This is because there is a historical background that has been deeply rooted in daily life by utilizing kimono techniques and traditional crafts in daily life.
Today’s “traditional crafts” in Japan are all associated with everyday life.
So, I think it is quite natural to be used in fashion and interiors.
