“HANMOU” means that use a special machine to return unnecessary fibers(clothing, yarn, fabric) to the raw wool again in Japanese. Recently, fiber recycling has been drawing attention but the reality and process are not well known at present. This time, we visited the factory with the president of FINE TEXTILE.Co.,ltd who is doing this effort actually. Though the first part and second part, we will introduce what kind of process the discarded clothes are reused and reborn.
The factory receive a mountain of discarded clothes from all over Japan.
The products that have been packed in bags are dismantled one by one.
Buttons and tags are remove one by one with scissors and sorted by color.
Up until this process is carried out in BIEI SENI Co.,Ltd, after that this fabrics are return to fibers and it is entrusted to a company that reuse it as raw material.
