今回は、現在の若い世代にも愛されるあのブランドのデザイナーが放った言葉をご紹介します。
「誰かが着てこそ、その服に価値が生まれる」
これはマークジェイコブスの言葉です。現在も愛されるMARK JACOBSのデザイナーです。
まず、彼のブランドについて説明します。
1986年にマークジェイコブスは、自身の名前でブランドをスタートさせ、翌年にはCFDA : Council of Fashion Design of Americaで新人賞、その後もCFDAにおいて二度受賞しました。
また、97年にはルイ・ヴィトンのアーティスティックディレクターに抜擢され、売上に大きく貢献したと言われています。
この経歴からも分かるように、実力あるデザイナーです。
マークジェイコブスのこの言葉は、デザイナー目線であると考えられますが、私はそれ以上にファッションに対する敬愛であると解釈しています。
私がこのように思う理由として、彼のキャラクターにあります。
彼のInstagramでは、自身のプライベートなスタイリングを投稿しており、本当にファッションが好きなことが感じられる、素敵なファッショニスタでもあると私は感じています。
そして、私が彼のスタイリングを見ていて驚いたこととして、他のブランドを使用したスタイリングをしており、丁寧にブランドのタグ付けされているのです。
デザイナーとしてではなく、ファッションが好きな一人の人間として、自己表現を楽しんでいるように思えます。

This time I would like to introduce the words of the designer of that brand, which is loved by the younger generation today.
“The value of the clothes is created only when someone wears them.”
This is Marc Jacobs’ words. He is a designer of MARC JACOBS, which is still loved.
First, let’s talk about his brand.
Marc Jacobs started the brand under his own name in 1986, and the following year he won the New Faces Award at the CFDA : Council of Fashion Design of America and received it twice at the CFDA.
In 1997, he was appointed as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton, and is said to have contributed to the profits significantly.
As you can see from this background, he is a talented designer.
Marc Jacobs’s words are considered to be a designer’s point of view, but I interpret it a respect for fashion more than that.
The reason why I think like this is because of his character.
In his Instagram, he posts his own private styling and I feel that he is also a nice fashionista who really likes fashion.
And what surprised me when I saw his styling was that he was styling with other brands and was carefully tagged with the brands.
It seems that he enjoys self-expression as a person who likes fashion, not as a designer.
