2000年代に流行したファッションが今再熱しているようです。
20年前のファッション・・・懐かしい気持ちになりますね。
そして・・・当時のファッションをまた着てみたいなぁと思ってみたり。
そんな今回は、昔流行していたファッションの思い出に浸りながら「リバイバルファッションの魅力」についてお話ししていきたいと思います。

Fashion that was popular in the 2000s seems to be rekindling now.
Fashion 20 years ago … I feel nostalgic.
And … I wanted to wear the fashion of that time again.
This time, I would like to talk about “Attractive points of revival fashion” while immersing myself in the memories of fashion that was popular in the past.
・リバイバルファッションとは
リバイバルファッションとは、以前流行っていたファッションが再び流行することを指します。
ファッションのトレンドの周期は２０年と言われており、今から20年前の流行が再び注目されるということです。
しかし、当時のそのままが流行るのではなく、当時のファッションがモダンにアレンジされ現代に受け入れられやすく変化したものが、現代のリバイバルファッションなのではないでしょうか。
What is revival fashion?
Revival fashion refers to the re-emergence of fashion that was previously fashionable.
It’s said that the fashion trend cycle is 20 years, and the fashion of 20 years ago will get attention again.
But, it’s not the fashion of the time as it is, but the fashion of the time is arranged in a modern way and changed to be easily accepted by the present age, isn’t it the modern revival fashion?
リバイバルファッションとは、以前流行っていたファッションが再び流行することを指します。
ファッションのトレンドの周期は２０年と言われており、今から20年前の流行が再び注目されるということです。
しかし、当時のそのままが流行るのではなく、当時のファッションがモダンにアレンジされ現代に受け入れられやすく変化したものが、現代のリバイバルファッションなのではないでしょうか。

Revival fashion refers to the re-emergence of fashion that was previously fashionable.
It’s said that the fashion trend cycle is 20 years, and the fashion of 20 years ago will get attention again.
But, it’s not the fashion of the time as it is, but the fashion of the time is arranged in a modern way and changed to be easily accepted by the present age, isn’t it the modern revival fashion?
・ダサいが可愛いリバイバルファッション
2022春夏のダサくて可愛い注目ファッションアイテムはたくさんありますが、その中でも私が注目する、90年代から2000年代にかけてのダサくて可愛いアイテムをご紹介したいと思います。
１、ダメージデニム
90年代〜流行したグランジファッションに必要不可欠なダメージデニム。
今季のダメージデニムのポイントは、ダメージ箇所やダメージ具合です。
ダメージ箇所が膝上30cmほどの高い位置にあり、ダメージは大胆に大きめに入っているところなんかが今年らしいです。
デニムパンツにあえてヘルシーな肌見せするデザインが、今季一押しのダサくて可愛いアイテムの一つです。
２、クロップドTシャツやチビTシャツ
90年代〜ギャルファッションが大流行しましたよね。
当時、ピタッとした小さめのTシャツや、おヘソを見せるクロップドTシャツを着ているギャルが街中にたくさんいました。
そんな当時大流行したクロップドTシャツ、チビTシャツは、現代でも気軽に取り入れられるダサくて可愛い定番アイテムです。
３、ローライズボトム
最近様々なブランドから登場しているローライズボトム。
健康的でヘルシーな肌見せなので、チャレンジしやすいのではないでしょうか。
ローライズボトムは、クロップドTシャツやチビTシャツとの相性抜群。
この夏はダサくて可愛い肌見せファッションから目が離せません。

There are many fashion items that are not cool and pretty in the spring and summer of 2022, but I would like to introduce such items from the 90’s to the 2000’s that I’m paying attention to.

Damaged denim is indispensable for grunge fashion which got popular since the 90’s.
Points of this season’s damaged denim are the damaged part and the degree of damage.
The damaged part is about 30cm above the knee, and it damages boldly, which seems to be this year.
The design that makes denim pants look healthy for skin is one of the most popular and pretty items this season.
Cropped T-shirts and Chibi T-shirts
From the 90’s gal fashion got very popular.
At that time, there were many gals in the city wearing small T-shirts that were tight and cropped T-shirts that showed navel.
Cropped T-shirts and Chibi T-shirts, which were very popular at that time, are not cool and pretty classic items that can be easily incorporated even in modern items.
Los-Rise bottom
Low-rise bottoms have recently appeared from various brands.
It looks healthy to show skin, so I think it’s easy to try to wear it.

先程も少し触れましたが、リバイバルファッションとは以前流行っていたファッションが再燃して再び流行ること。
そんなリバイバルファッションは、20代なら20年前のファッションを新たに知り、魅力を感じて当時のファッションを体現する。
３０代であれば、懐かしく感じて今の自分で体現してみたくなる。
４０代なら、もしかすると当時きていた服がクローゼットに眠っているかも知れない・・・そんなワクワク感を感じることもあるかも知れません。
これからのファッションは、新しいものを作り出していくばかりではなく、古いものを大切にしていくことが重要だと思います。
ファッションとは常にリバイバルの繰り返しです。
今持っている服もきっとまた間違いなく流行ります。
そこを理解した上で、何年後かまた流行ったときに着られるという目的意識を持ち、服を選ぶことができるといいなぁと思いました。

As I mentioned a little above, revival fashion means the re-emergence of fashion that was previously fashionable.
In such revival fashion, if you’re in your twenties, you will know the fashion of 20 years ago, and you will feel the attractive points and embody the fashion of that time.
If you’re in your thirties, you will feel nostalgic and want to embody by today’s yourself.
If you’re in your 40s, maybe the clothes you were wearing at the time are sleeping in your closet… you might feel that kind of excitement.
I think it’s important for fashion not only to create new things, but also to cherish old things.
Fashion is always a repetition of revival.
The clothes you have now will definitely be popular again.
With that understanding in mind, I thought it would be great if I could choose clothes with a sense of purpose that I would be able to wear them when they become popular again after many years.

そう思い続けていると、買い物の仕方やファッションに対する価値観に変化が生まれていきました。
また流行るなら「生地が丈夫なものにしよう」「サイズは大きめにしておこう」「シンプルなものにしておこう」など、長く大切に着る気持ちで服を選ぶようになりました。
今流行中のリバイバルファッションに、多くの人が興味を持ち、また着たい、長く大切に着たいと思える服選びができたらいいなぁと思います。
